I must say that this year started a bit atypical for me, plus January felt way too long and splashed with some sad news from people I know. But February begins now and I feel a renewed motivation, not only to keep creating art, but also to find ways to move it faster in a way that I can continue learning different techniques and experimenting with new materials. I just continue to feel that I can be my true self when I am at an art studio!
I remember that in my last formal job one of the prevailing mantras was "problem solving", and eventhough this required skill constantly challenged my neurons, there were times when you needed to involve a lot of people to concrete a practical solution within complex business models... boy, nothing like simplicity! Today my major problem solving has to do with what color palette do I feel like using depending on my mood, or what type of frame is the most appealing to my artwork. I think that I have accomplished a quantum leap in my way of looking at life nowadays, and to change the chip of not being busy all the time has been a total blessing. Today I continue to be productive, but in a very different and conscious way, taking out all the creativity that I had accumulated and without flowing properly, and giving myself the chance to live in calm and gratitude with what I currently have.
